Attention Mexican food lovers! You better get your sombreros and maracas ready for a week-long celebration of Cinco de Mayo at SoCal’s Taco and Tequila Fiesta in Neutral Bay, from 4 May until 10 May 2019.
Cinco de Mayo is a holiday commemorating the Mexican Army’s victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla on the 5th of May in 1862. Up until today, the holiday is celebrated widely all over the world, may they be Mexicans or not.
As part of the celebration, SoCal’s Taco and Tequila Fiesta is making a comeback this year. Following last year’s huge success, this highly-anticipated event is expected to be bigger and better than ever.
For one entire week, you get to party and indulge in all-time favourite Mexican food and drinks- all of which are sold for an affordable price!
Apart from a variety of Mexican food and beverages, the fiesta will also feature a comedy night, masterclass, and a chilli eating contest. It sounds fun, isn’t it? All activities will surely keep you up on your feet and put you in the party mood.

Launch Party: 4 May 2019
To kick off the event, grab a drink or two from Olmeca ALTOS Margarita specials. And to make it even more special, The Flower Social will be distributing free flower crowns with every purchased margarita from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. The party continues until the evening with Mexican-themed live music played all night long.
Cinco de Mayo Party: 5 May 2019
The overflow of tequila cocktail specials and flower crowns continues! As a special treat to all customers, SoCal’s popular Sunday Unplugged session will have a Spanish twist- having a smooth ‘acustico’ live music accompaniment throughout the afternoon.
Live Comedy: 6 May 2019
Laugh out loud all night long with SoCal’s live comedy night event. In partnership with LaughMob, get ready to watch and hear different hilarious jokes, pick up lines, and more from their best set of comedians. Tickets for the Live Comedy are available for purchase at $10. Each ticket is also inclusive of a welcome cocktail. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m.
All You Can Eat Tacos: 7 May 2019
Who’s up for unlimited tacos? For only $30 you get to eat your heart’s desire from SoCal’s best-selling tasty tacos. With so many varieties to choose from, you will surely find something you’d want to savour in for the rest of the evening. Alongside with the all you can eat tacos, Margaritas will also be available for only $10.
Tequila Cocktail Masterclass: 8 May 2019
Now is your chance to be a mixology master from Olmeca ALTOS Tequila Cocktail Masterclass. This event is hosted by master brand ambassadors of Olmeca ALTOS from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. For a ticket price of $60, each participant will get to build their own Palomas whilst learning about the history of the plant-based cocktail. The ticket also includes two cocktails and snacks.
Chilli Eating Contest: 9 May 2019
Are you brave enough to join in SoCal’s Chilli Eating contest? Come and join the fun as brave contestants from all over town huddle up to consume some of the hottest chilli in the world.
Taco and Tequila Feast: 10 May 2019
Capping off the week-long celebration of the Taco and Tequila Fiesta is the ultimate Taco and Tequila Degustation Dinner. Get ready to munch on the specially created degustation menu which includes four exclusive tacos that are matched up with four Olmeca ALTOS tequila cocktails. Tickets for this dinner are available at $70 per person.
