The Sydney presentation lunch is set for Wednesday, 28 October, at The Oaks Hotel in Neutral Bay. Melbourne gets its own session two days earlier, on Monday, 26 October, at Roccella Restaurant in East Melbourne. Australian representatives of the show are running both events with the Australian Dental Industry Association, known as ADIA. Start times were not listed in the information released.

Lehmann will outline plans for the 2027 show. He will also talk with Australian industry representatives about what they want from it. What matters most to local companies? That is the conversation on the table.

ADIA CEO Kym De Britt is on the program at both lunches. In Neutral Bay, ADIA national president Ryan Green takes part as well. Melbourne guests will hear alongside De Britt from Samantha Cheetham, CEO of SDI.

IDS runs every two years in Cologne and is organised by a commercial arm of VDDI. It is aimed at dentists, dental staff, laboratories and suppliers, among others. Organisers describe it as the world’s leading trade fair for the dental sector.

What to expect in Cologne

The 42nd IDS takes place 16 to 20 March 2027, at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany. So far, more than 1,000 companies from over 50 countries have registered. Displays are expected to cover artificial intelligence, digital dentistry, imaging, implantology and 3D printing.

People who want to attend either lunch can request details from IDS representative Robert Laing at robert@messereps.com.
